Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Bark AI when you use the Bark AI mobile app, website, or API. We've kept them short and plain. If anything is unclear, email support@barkpethealth.com.

1. What Bark AI does

Bark AI is a software tool that helps you track your pet's health, find vets, get AI-assisted urgency guidance on symptoms, post lost-pet alerts, and manage reminders. It is not a veterinary service. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace a licensed veterinarian.

2. Who can use it

• You must be at least 18 years old (16 in some jurisdictions).
• You must use the service for its intended purpose and not in violation of any law.

3. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, spam other users, or post fraudulent lost-pet alerts.
• You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen. See our Privacy Policy for what happens next.

4. AI health triage — important

Bark AI uses machine-learning models to classify urgency and suggest next steps. The output is guidance, not medical advice. In a clear emergency — laboured breathing, seizure, collapse, suspected poisoning, uncontrolled bleeding, a male cat straining to urinate — go to an emergency vet now. Do not wait for or rely on AI output.

We do our best to calibrate the AI conservatively (when in doubt, escalate), but we can't guarantee accuracy. You remain responsible for decisions you make about your pet's care.

5. Subscriptions and billing

• The free tier is free forever. It includes every core feature.
• Premium is $2.99/month or $29/year. Prices may vary by country in local currency.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.
• We email you 7 days before each renewal with a 1-click cancel link.
• Cancel anytime, in 2 taps, from the Account screen. You keep Premium access until the end of your current period.
• 30-day refund guarantee: if you're unhappy for any reason, request a refund within 30 days of the charge and we'll issue one automatically — no support ticket needed. After 30 days, refunds are at our discretion.
• Prices may change. We'll give at least 30 days' notice and let you cancel before any increase takes effect.

6. Content you post

You own the pet records, photos, and notes you add. By posting a lost-pet alert, you grant Bark AI a limited licence to display it to users in the alert radius while it's active. You can mark the pet found or delete the alert at any time.

Don't post content that is illegal, harmful, misleading (false lost-pet alerts), harassing, or infringes someone else's rights. We may remove such content.

7. Prohibited use

• Don't reverse-engineer the app or API beyond what the law allows.
• Don't scrape the waitlist, users, or reference data.
• Don't use Bark AI to deliver medical care to pets that aren't yours, except for family members or animals you foster.
• Don't use the lost-pet network to harass, stalk, or threaten anyone.

8. Third-party services

Bark AI relies on Anthropic (AI), Google (Sign-In, Maps, Places), Apple (Sign-In), Firebase (push), Stripe, and Razorpay. Their terms apply when you use those integrations. See our Privacy Policy for what we share with each.

9. Disclaimers

Bark AI is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express, implied, or statutory) including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited under your local law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be emailed. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

12. Termination

You can stop using Bark AI at any time by deleting your account. We may terminate or suspend accounts for material breach of these Terms, with notice where reasonable.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, excluding conflicts rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Bangalore, India, unless applicable consumer-protection law lets you bring it where you live.
